Brand new facility, improper cold weather pour resulting in failed tank walls. Seven huge DAF (dissolved air flotation) tanks, 20 feet in height 12 inches thick were cracked and leaking. Kryton-approved applicators were contracted to provide repairs to leaking tanks and other walls at the facility.

When added to concrete, Krystol chemically reacts with water and un-hydrated cement particles to form insoluble needle-shaped crystals that fill capillary pores and micro-cracks in the concrete and block the pathways for water and waterborne contaminants. Any moisture introduced over the lifespan of the concrete will initiate crystallization, ensuring permanent waterproofing protection.

When originally cribbed, the plywood stood for an extended period of time, and the wall forms were used as a garbage can by contractors! When the concrete was poured in, it all compacted at the base, creating a weak wall and almost non-existent bond between slab and wall.
